The product picture suggests this is a standalone device with its own USBC port. But the documentation suggests that it should be used on top of a separate RAK board. Can you please describe the use case(s) for this product?

It looks like the type C port will be on the included base board with this unit.
Thanks! I guess I still don’t know why the component is shown to have a USB-C port when it needs to be mounted on a RAK 5005-0 which has a USB-C already on it.
No need to respond. I found a different setup that meets my use case.
