The lips on the top panel connector in the enclosure look like they go under the front and back panels making removal of just the top panel alone impossible. However, the CAD model looks like there is some space on the side to slide the panel to either the front or back and then remove. Can anyone clarify if this is possible? I would definitely prefer if the top panel could be removed without having to remove any other panels.
dylan.everett, welcome to the TechForum! Could you provide a picture of which side you are having difficulty with? Hammond’s site says that it is possible to access all 6 sides with the removal of 4 screws. You shouldn’t have to remove other panels to gain access to the inside.
The top and bottom panels can be removed, below is part of the assembly instructions:
Can they be removed while the front and back panels are installed? Here is a picture showing the slot that the top panel slides into underneath the front panel.
I’m guessing you could slide it forward with the front panel removed.
I think the way that they constructed it, you have to remove one of those slotted panels, otherwise it’s held in place. Otherwise, those panels are blocked by those other side panels.
The model provided suggests that with screws removed, there is sufficient clearance to slide top/bottom panels enough to clear the overlapping flange of the front/back panels.
