Transistor K C2026 Y substitution

I have a transistor marked K C2026 Y that needs replacing. I was told Digi-Key’s 2SC6097-E0S was a suitable replacement, but they don’t look anything alike. Was I lied to?

Hello Kirby 2S C2026 is an obsolete part I sure someone crossed that part. I do not see any direct cross, so I it is possible they offered an option

My old Sam’s cross reference guide shows only an RCA part cross, SK9139.

No NTE or other general purpose replacement.
