Trying to Manage a 10K ohm Thermistor!resi

Hello,

I am currently trying to manage a 10k ohm thermistor when I need a 100k ohm thermistor.

  1. Would it be plausible to put two 47.5kohm resistors in series at the connection site?
  2. I am amplified now.
  3. I am trying to resist but still have the reading of the thermistor read.

Seth

Adding fixed resistors will not make a 10K thermistor work like a 100K, the temperature vs. output readings will be very wrong.

Hello,

I tested it before reading this idea. You were and are right. The dual 47.5k ohm resistors made my readings reach 1000C instead of 29C. Odd but factual.

P.S. I ordered some in the meantime. Oh well. I am only guessing here, i.e. so my guess was off by 961C. ha. Thank you for replying.
