I am looking for guidance on how to find parts. I have a couple of gaming laptops that have intermittent issues with the usb ports going on and off. I am trying to find replacement ports to solder on as I believe the problem is the pins not being pushed together due to age and the metal loosing springyness over time. I just can’t find the exact port match. The daughter board is from a medion erazer p30. I also have an msi with similar ports. The number on the usb port doesn’t bring anything relevant up on Google.
Guidance on this would be appreciated. Also, can the metal springs be bent up using an L shaped pin or is this likely just to fail quite quickly due to the metal being “fatigued”(not sure if this is the right term or not)?
