Hello,

I would like to ask about the Amphenol USB3FTV7AN connector.

From the information I found, this part appears to be a rugged USB 3.0 adapter with USB-A receptacle to USB-A receptacle. I need to connect it to a laptop for USB communication/data transfer.

Could anyone help confirm the correct mating connector or cable for this part?

Specifically, I would like to know:

  1. What mating plug or cable assembly should be used with the USB3FTV7AN?

  2. Can it be connected to a laptop using a standard USB-A male to USB-A male cable, or does it require a specific rugged Amphenol USB3FTV plug/cable assembly?

  3. If the laptop only has a standard USB-A or USB-C port, what cable or adapter configuration is recommended?

The Mating cables we have in our system for USB3FTV7AN are Linked Here and can be found with the prefix USB3FTV6. Straight and crossed cord sets available.

You can mate with a standard USB A up to 3.0 keeping in mind you you will not maintain the ruggedness of the recommended mating cables.
