Hello DigiKey Team and Community,
I am looking to purchase the MEAN WELL UHP-1500-48 (DigiKey Part #: 1866-UHP-1500-48-ND), but I need to verify the specific hardware revision currently in stock.
As per MEAN WELL Product Upgrade Notice #1479, the “Blank” suffix models have been upgraded to include built-in CANBus protocol and physical DIP switches for addressing as a standard feature. This change was officially implemented for units with a Date Code of 2606 (February 2026) or later.
Since there is a transition period where older analog-only inventory (2024/2025 stock) may still be in the bins, I have a few specific questions before placing a high-value order:
• Hardware Check: Can anyone confirm if the current 123 units in stock feature the integrated 3-position DIP switch bank near the output terminals?
• Date Code: Are the units currently being shipped manufactured in 2026?
• Ordering Process: If I place an order, is there a way to guarantee I receive the upgraded version with the communication hardware rather than the legacy analog version?
I want to avoid a situation where I receive the old revision and have to navigate a return or restocking fee for a part that no longer matches the manufacturer’s updated primary specification.
Any insight from the engineering team or someone who has recently received this SKU would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards
Ben
