I need to verify the correct hand crimp tool for the 5040520098 Molex 24-28AWG contact pin.

Been using the Molex 63827-0870; the DigiKey website shows the Molex 0638270800.

Also need to verify the correct Molex pneumatic applicator and press for a long-term fix.

Hi,

Thank you for your inquiry. 0638270800 is the current recommended crimp tool for 5040520098.

However, if you have 63827-0870 this will also work well for these crimp sockets . It is an older discontinued crimper but it is meant for the Pico-Lock series and should work just fine.
