A caution should be taken when entering Vishay p/n in format “P-xxxxyzzzzab” in DigiKey website.
This will relult getting the p/n in format “Pxxxxyzzzzab” which is a different part and has different features
For example:
Entering “P-0402E1001BB” will result “P0402E1001BBT” (716-P0402E1001BBTTR-ND)
Entering “P-0805E80R0B” will result “P0805E80R0BBT” (716-P0805E80R0BBTCT-ND)
The p/n in format P-xxxxyzzzzab belongs to Vishay Dale Thin Film “P-NS” series
The p/n in format Pxxxxyzzzzab belongs to Vishay Sfernice "P" series
And as already mentioned, they have different features and not for all customer’s applications they are interchangeable
Also except the packaging options, the p/n structure of both series is the same (except some addional tolerance options for “P” series) and can cause a confusion
Majority of the parts that DigiKey carries is from Vishay Sfernice “P” series
There are few parts from Vishay Dale Thin Film “P-NS” series but they are not marked in as “P-NS” in “series” filter
