I am new to DIY electronics I bought this LED and want to power it with a driver. What do I need for this to work? If I am reading correctly i need a star board and a heat sink. can you reccommend one to me

Hello thomasedwarderwin, welcome to the TechForum! I can’t seem to find an unpopulated star board that accepts the size of this LED. You’d need a way to mount these individual LEDs and add up the voltages if wired in series or add up the current required if you wire in parallel. However, it may be easier to find a pre-populated star board with characteristics similar to CUN66A1G.

The part number 1672-LST1-01G08-UV01-01-ND is pretty similar that may be easier to work with. Ideally speaking, if you just power one of these, you need a driver capable of outputting 6.5VDC and provide at least 350 to 800mA. The smallest driver with wires that could be compatible would be our part number 1866-1133-ND. You may not need a heat sink, but just in case, here is a link to some options. You’d have to check the datasheets for dimensions.
