# What does Number of positions mean?

Hello, I wanted to buy this Amphenol plug, but I am not sure wheter they are sold individually, or in a package of 4. The number of positions seems quite enigmatic to me. Is the price per one plug or per 4?

The **Amphenol [M12A-04PMMS-SH8002](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/amphenol-ltw/M12A-04PMMS-SH8002/7618605?s=N4IgTCBcDaILIEYwEEC0AGALABTnAyqvgBIAc66YABCALoC%252BQA)** is sold **individually (price per one plug)**, not in a pack of four.

- The “4 positions” in the description refers to the **number of electrical contacts (pins)** inside the connector.
