We reached out to our Product Management team for clarification.
They measured the tweezers with the tips fully closed. Because the tweezers are not perfectly round, the measurement varies between 2.95 mm and 3.35 mm. The shape is more oval- or diamond-shaped rather than a true circle, which accounts for the variation in the measurement.
