I want to use the MF128128F15-BFW display for a project, but there is no FFC connector which exactly matches its 29P 0.8mm pitch specifications that I can find. I did however find a 30P connector: 50699-03001-001, which meets most of the requirements except for that extra connection. I know it’s not ideal, but will the display’s cable fit in this connector and lock in place enough to work, or will it slide around and cause connection issues?
Or should I instead look for slightly different 29P connectors? I found one with a 1mm pitch, but I’m not sure how much of an issue that causes with the tolerances being off slightly.
This is a very niche problem which comes from me being underqualified and overambitious about my cost-saving for a hobbyist christmas project, but I’m hoping that someone on here might be able to help give me some advice.
