You have entered an invalid value (null) for the Voltage Level on the Snap Power property page

hello,
i am getting an error message when attempting to connect to my device. the message reads: “You have entered an invalid value (null) for the Voltage Level on the Snap Power property page. Please fix this before continuing.
Connection Failed.”

the full output reads:
Connecting to MPLAB Snap

Currently loaded versions:
Application version…02.01.06
Boot version…01.00.00
PCB version…2
Script version…00.06.71
Script build number…74cdf38a4d
Tool pack version …2.3.1200

You have entered an invalid value (null) for the Voltage Level on the Snap Power property page. Please fix this before continuing.
Connection Failed.
MPLABComm USB Version: 3.47
MPLABComm Serial Access Version: N/A

the power levels on IPE are set to default however i do see the VDD reads N/A in power settings even though it is showing VDD nom 3.25 before connecting the snap. the device is powered on and the snap connector has an active light on. all connections are correct (from what i can tell) and i am using family: 32 bit MCU’s (PIC32), for device: PIC32MX370F512L, the tool automatically pops up with its snap S number.

please let me know if you have seen this and if there is a solution i am missing.
