Lantronix acquired Maestro wireless not long ago. are they the same parts? If they are the same, is it still active? I would like to put this on order?
They would be the same part.

Will you be able to check with MFG if they have a plan to obsolete this item, if they do, when?
Generally DigiKey only gets involved in providing current production status. If future lifecycle plans are needed you would need to contact the manufacturer directly.
As an alternative, the u-blox SAM-M10Q-00B is functionally similar, is a new generation product, and we currently maintain stock on this item.
