We do not currently carry the AMS117 Voltage Regulator from Advanced Monolithic Systems Inc., however we have several similar devices from other manufacturers. Please review the datasheets to ensure the alternative will work for your application.
“117” and it’s variation “1117” are like the LDO SMD equivalent of the venerable through hole 78xx series parts.
In nearly all applications a lower dropout voltage and/or higher current rating yields better performance for the end product.
Here’s a revised search that yields an extra dozen likely substitutes with up to a 40% cost savings.
