What is a voltage sweep?

Voltage sweep is essential in product development and debugging, as it helps evaluate the DUT’s power profile across different voltage levels, simulating real battery conditions. This testing reveals how the PMIC or DC/DC converter performs across the full range of expected battery voltages.

How is a voltage sweep performed?

For Otii Arc/Ace users it is all about 3 steps:

  • Add Otii Arc/Ace to the project in the Otii desktop application and set it up at an initial voltage.
  • Enable wanted measurement channels.
  • For each active cycle of your device, restart the recording and change the voltage level.
