I have unit set for CC and the ON/OFF turned on. I used the Shft + Sys button to enter Trigger mode then going to External hitting the Enter button to accept this then Esc ….I never see the unit switch off, it is constantly on….Can someone tell me what I am doing incorrectly?

Page 53 of the manual describes the process of configuring the device for transient operation.
In addition to selecting the desired trigger source as described, it would be necessary to set the device to an operational mode where it’s actually looking for a trigger signal and set to respond in some fashion. Since that wasn’t described as part of the process, it seems likely to be a piece missing from the puzzle.
Thanks @rick_1976 ! If I set the transition into Pulse mode now it waits for my external trigger to fire!
