Conformal coating might be indicated by a two-letter abbreviation in a description for a component–thick and thin film resistors, for example–and may not be immediately recognized.
The most common examples are:
Type “AR” for acrylic resins.
Type “ER” for epoxy resins.
Type “SR” for silicone resins.
Type “UR” for both urethane and polyurethane resin.
