Difference between an A or G on a Molex Hand Crimp Tool?

Question: What is the difference between … Molex hand tools 638190000A and 638190000G?

Answer: This is a basic “Minor” revision to the hand tool. If any functional changes are made to the tool, Molex will create a whole new part number. If it is minor, like a change in the ATS spec sheets, or a new terminal wire gauge added to the scope of the tool, then the part number remains the same and there is a new revision released. All revisions crimp the same.
