Do you know the difference between Photoresistors and Photodiodes ?
Photoresistors:
Perfect for detecting a wider light spectrum (including infrared). Commonly used in consumer devices, their slower response time isn’t usually an issue.
Photodiodes:
Faster response times, ideal for applications where speed matters, but they’re more selective with the light they detect. For light-sensitive projects, both are great options – why not use both for optimal results ?
