Difference between S34ML08G201BHI000 and S34ML08G101BHI000

Hi,

Can anyone let me know what is the exact difference between part S34ML08G201BHI000 and S34ML08G101BHI000?

Hello ps1,

Looking at the datasheets, the difference appears to be the NAND technology used in the IC. For the S34M08G101BHI000 it uses Spansion Revision 1, which is a NAND flash memory with a 4x nm process. The S34ML08G201BHI000 uses SkyHigh’s Revision 2, which is a type of NAND flash memory with 32 nm technology.
Comparing the two, it looks like the S34ML08G201BHI000 has a newer generation NAND technology that provides higher memory density and better power efficiency compared to the S34ML08G101BHI000.

Hey Mitch. Thank you for your reply.

So replacing the IC from S34ML08G101BHI003 to S34ML08G201BHI003 with all other parts on the board unchanged will not affect the functioning of the end product right?

Hello ps1,

The different NAND Technology shouldn’t matter much, but without knowing how they process the memory, I can’t be certain. Maybe one of the engineers or someone that knows more about these chips, can give their opinion.
