I am looking for some information on this capacitor if you can help. That would be great. It is a thru hole design and it is in a push button control for all the controls in a boat. The panel has several buttons that connect to a remote mounted box which has many different PCB mounted relays. This turns on and off the accesories in a boat, ie lights, livewell, etc. This capacitor is the first component in the circuit from the battery connection.
This could be a capacitor.
This also could be an inrush current limiter.
This also could be a varistor(MOV).
Is there markings on the PCB where this was installed?
Also would you have the diameter and the center to center distance of the leads that has?
Capacitors
Inrush limiters
It is a fuse. Thanks.
The board I was trying to get fixed was shorted and that was getting hot. I injected voltage after that fuse and after removing the conformal coating, I found another inductor that was shorted.
Thanks for the help
Dave
It was a current limiter. Board has a shorted inductor.
Thanks.
