When looking at the MAP55 series of AC/DC converters from Bel Power Solutions you will notice that some have a “G” suffix and some do not, such as MAP55-4003 and MAP55-4003G. What is the difference between these two parts.
The “G” suffix indicates RoHS compliance, those parts that do not have the “G” suffix are not RoHS compliant. Currently all of the non-compliant versions are marked not for new designs or have been rendered obsolete. For a replacement simply order the same number with the added “G” suffix.
