For anyone looking to remotely manage and log temperature and humidity data using the EL-USB-2LCD data logger, here’s a general overview of how to export the data to Excel and potentially sync it with Google Drive:
Please refer to the information provided by the manufacturer.
According to Lascar, the following steps outline the process:
Data Export Process:
-
Connect the Device
Plug the EL-USB-2LCD into your computer and open the associated software. Stop the logger and download the recorded data.
-
Save as Text File
Initially, the data must be saved as a Text File through the software.
-
Review and Add Comments
Once data is saved, the software will automatically generate a graph. Under the “View” tab, the user can add “statistics” (as seen above) or change to “Data View” (as seen below).
Here, the customer can add any appropriate comments. (i.e. alarm resets/acknowledgement, external or internal forces that affect data, etc..) Changing to “Data View” can also be done by simply clicking the “Data View” button on the header. -
Export to CSV
Once ready, export the data to a CSV file, which can then be opened in Excel. Note: The CSV file includes any user-added comments.
-
Open and Format in Excel
Open the CSV file in Excel for review. Some light formatting may be required, depending on preferences.
