Inquiry About Factory Test Report and Calibration Certificate

------Question for HDC1080DMBR Please Put your question below------

I am planning to purchase the HDC1080 sensor and would like to inquire whether Texas Instruments provides any factory test documentation for each production lot.

Specifically, I would like to know if it is possible to obtain any of the following documents when purchasing the HDC1080:

  • A factory test report or production test report
  • A calibration certificate or calibration report
  • A Certificate of Conformance (CoC) or any equivalent document confirming that the devices have been tested and calibrated according to TI’s manufacturing specifications

If such documentation is available, could you please let me know:

  • Which documents can be provided?
  • Whether they are available for every production lot or only upon request?
  • Whether there is any additional cost or ordering requirement?

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your reply.

Welcome to the forum

Based on the data sheet and TI product pages I believe they do not offer the documentation you want.

However even when TI, or any other reliable sensor manufacturer, does not offer calibration certificates you can still rely on them standing behind the sensor and replacing/refunding for any sensors that do not meet their guaranteed specifications.

Hello anhnn.work,

According to the data sheet these sensors are factory calibrated but there is no Calibration certificate included with the product. DigiKey can provide the C of C but not the calibration cert nor the production test report. Such documentation may be obtained but it has to be requested upon placing the order and indicated in order notes. You may indicate in the notes to not ship the product if the documentation cannot be obtained with it.
