What is M5Stack TAB5(K145) display driver IC of recent stock ?
I was informed that new stock of K145(TAB5 with battery) is available now a couple of days ago.
As far as I know, M5Stack changed the display driver IC of TAB5 from ILI9881c to ST7123 after October 14 2025.
I’m not sure that this newest stock of K145 is equipped with ST7123 or not.
I want ST7123 version, not ILI9881c of before.
If I order and buy K145 from DigiKey today, do you think I’ll get K145 of ST7123 chip?
I’m asking about K145(with battery), not about C145(without battery).

It includes the K145
Display: Uses a 5‑inch IPS TFT display with a resolution of 1280×720 (720P), equipped with an integrated display and touch driver IC: ST7123
I know what the datasheet says. What I really want to know is the actual situation of th recent stock date(the date of export or import of the stock) of K145. Datasheet is just datasheet, nothing more.
If you are not sure, could you please ask BRYAN_LEE about this issue, not ask datasheet ?
2221-K145-ND comes in a shrink-wrapped package from the manufactuer so we can not open the package. Our current stock is date coded 2509, so it may be safe to assume that we have the older driver since the change took place on October 14 2025.
