Micro Commercial Components Part Numbering

Part on bill of materials is MCC PN SM712.TCT - DigiKey Lists SM712.TP.

Is the only difference packaging type?

Welcome to the forum.

I don’t see any “TP” on the component page, so assuming you meant “TR”

Yes, the only difference in the DigiKey part numbers is for the DigiKey packaging type.

Hi Paul, The part you linked is Semtech. Our customers bill of materials lists Micro Commercial Components

Micro Commercial Components PN SM712-TP

@mariahali

SM712.TCT and SM712.TP are different parts. Both are available on the links above.

Hello Mariahali,

You can also reference the manufacturers product page, if you go to the bottom of the page and click on the cross-reference tab. They do list SM712.TCT as a competitor’s part number, with SM712 being their part number.
With the Micro Commerical Components part, you can review page 4 of the datasheet, stating that the “-TP” suffix is an indication of packaging.

Hi Nick,

This is the information I found as well.
I was looking for a secondary opinion to confirm since I don’t have engineering experience. Thanks for providing the links, I think I was able to find the answer I need.
