Murata Electronics offers a popular line of MLCCs in their GRM series, such as GRM155R61A104KA01D. When ordering these parts however, your reels may come with an ‘A02’ or similar mark rather than the indicated A01 in the part numbering. What gives? Is this an issue? What is the difference between these two callouts?
The A01, A02, and similar codes are Murata internal control codes, as shown in the datasheet snippet below. These control codes are for Murata’s own use, and do not affect the performance or specifications of these products.
