Renesas offers a diverse array of integrated circuits, including their SLG59M1496V load switch. We’ve received questions recently concerning the product markings for this IC and why different orders come with different markings. Is this valid?
Per Renesas’ datasheet, page 8, the top markings of this product are not fixed. Only the first two digits of the first line are guaranteed to be identical across all products; all the other markings on the IC can vary by date, lot, and assembly facility. So long as the overall marking conforms to this code, individual characters can vary without the products being considered defective.
