Ribbon cable ordering issue

Could someone kindly assist me with the following ordering inquiry:

I want to order 700 feet of: MC16R-100-ND, and the description says the following: Enter Number of Feet in Order Quantity. However, when I enter 700 in the quantity, it mentions the order will be backordered, even thought the in stock amount is 1,027.

Could someone kindly help me clarify the amount I am supposed to enter in it. Since the customer support agent kept saying I might have to enter 7 instead of 700. As he believes 1 unit represents 100 feet. However, if I enter 7, the cost will be only $29.83. And I find it hard to believe 700 feet of Ribbon cable is only $29.83.

Thank you for posting in the TechForum.

I did some looking on this and there are a few options on this. With the part number you are looking at, the reels come in 100’ size and part number MC16R-100-ND is sold by the foot. If you take a look at part number 3M157791-1000-ND is sold by a roll of 1000’. After looking, either way you will need to enter the number of feet you want to order.
