Single Layer Passive Toroidal Inductors

Hammond 1540M25

I am designing a faraday motor generator a Dynamo which has no brushes no commutator and uses no alternating current at all.

The Armature is a single passive toroidal inductor which must be wound in a single layer to bring the windings close to the magnets.

So did you key if you are listening do you know if Hammond 1540 m25 is wound in a single layer or will I have to call Hammond to determine this?

I have Hammond 1540 m21 which is a single layer of much thicker wire.

Thanks in advance

Hi Douglas,

Thank you for your inquiry.

A couple of the windings overlap, otherwise it is a single layer of wire.
