A recent inquiry came in asking what the difference was between 179593-1 and 179593-2. According to the datasheet from TE found on page 61 and as shown below in the snippet, the “-2” indicates a high contact pressure type. This means that the contacts will “hold on to” the mating contacts with a higher amount of force.
