I was wondering why is the AX5043 transceiver by Onsemi out of stock from all the parts suppliers? Are there noncompliance issues that this product has experienced?

Unfortunately, we see the AX5043-1-TA05 is listed as discontinued with no replacement. Ref:
The best I can do is offer a related (not pin compatible) transceivers such as the Silicon Labs
SI4461-C2A-GM. Also, it is possible you may be able to source the part from a 3rd party reseller.
