Tripp Lite offers a wealth of useful line backup and circuit protection options, including SMX1500LCDT. We’ve had a few questions recently concerning testing for this product, and why it shows voltage levels significantly above its rated 220V during testing. What’s the deal with this device?
We do not recommend testing this product with no loading on the UPS. Even if you don’t intend to test it in circuit, you should employ a dummy load to give it something to work with before performing any output testing on the product.
