Using INIR2-ME100 : How Do You Solder It?

1782-INIR2-ME100-ND (INIR2-ME100) is a Methane sensor made by Amphenol SGX Sensortech. This type of sensor does have through hole pins meant to be placed in a printed circuit board design, but there is an important note to consider when designing.

I have highlighted the note in blue. My best assumption is that there are sensitive components inside the methane sensor that will react to heat if you try to solder directly. This is most likely why they suggest the solder mount sockets 450-1813-01-03-00. Please note that we do not have these in our catalog, so I will provide some potential alternates below.

I found a relevant series datasheet that helped me narrow down some options, see below.

I used the size of the pins (1.5mm diameter according to the datasheet) to find equivalent sockets. Click here to see the options I found that may be compatible.
