Weidmuller is known for their diverse offering of terminal blocks and accessories, including their 9004300000 wire ferrule. We receive questions concerning the unit of sale and packaging type for these ferrules and what our price breaks mean - since the products are shipped as a pack of 500 from Weidmuller, does that mean that “QTY. 1” is a single pack of 500 ferrules? As well, the devices are listed as “Bulk” but arrive at their destinations in reels packed in bags - are these reeled parts, or bulk parts?
This device does ship to us from Weidmuller as a pack of 500, but DigiKey breaks it down for resale as a value-added service. The quantity shown in the device’s pricing table is for that number of individual ferrules; the lowest “QTY. 50” order would yield fifty ferrules. If you want the original pack of 500, you would need to order QTY. 500, and then specify that you need an unbroken manufacturer’s package in the Order Notes section of your order.
Insofar as packaging goes, this product ships as a 500-piece reel within its own separate bulk-pack bag. It is, in this way, both reel and bulk simultaneously. We use ‘Bulk’ at this time as the more broadly correct definition, though this may change in the future as we talk to Weidmuller on the matter.
