The cable they use is 26AWG wire and it is AWM2464 class wire and it has a UL operating voltage rating to 300V. It can withstand momentary surges to 2000V before dielectric breakdown between ground and conductor can occur. Most of the time though, they’re used more as low-voltage communications cabling in the 0V-30V range.
