I’m trying to track down the manufacturer of the cable assembly A3AKB-1018M to see if we can get a modified version of this part. I contacted TE Connectivity, and they said this part was made by a distributor, not by them.

Does anyone know who makes this part?

These cables are assembled to order downstairs in the warehouse. Like @Robert_Fay indicated you can communicate with custom.orders@digikey.com to see if they can get you something similar, only different.
