Would you happen to have any other spec that this would need to have?
Any specific hardware you were looking at using to run the project?
Not really. I’m open to using whatever will make my idea a reality. I could provide the specs of my PC for which I want Percy’s “brain” housed on. I was also going to put a Bluetooth speaker b hind the bear and a mic and camera in front of it. I’m open to any suggestions.
Hi @mikellcasady.
I see you didn’t mention the Digit Companion Robot in your post. Have you come across this before? Looks like it would be a great starting point for your project! Based on your description, you wouldn’t need the Jetson Orin, but rather split the processing/controls between your gaming PC and the reTerminal.
If you’re looking for further assistance, it would be of great help if you could narrow down the scope of your request. As of now, our team hasn’t done very much work with LLMs at the edge… so, we have limited capacity to support the AI portion of your project. However, if you’re having trouble finding appropriate hardware and/or getting it up and running, there’s a good chance we can lend a hand.
Thanks, and best of luck!
Im admittedly very much out of my wheel house with this project. It was just a fun idea that I am hoping to bring to life. So I have no specific need. I’m open to any direction or suggestions that anyone have to help me make this happen. I do have a more detailed outline of desired features but what I’ve described in that post is the gist of it. I’m unfamiliar with Digit Companion Robot. I’ll look into it now. Thanks!
The Digit Companion is the closest thing I’ve ever seen to what I aim for Percy to be with a few deviations and additions. Percy will be desktop companion. PERCIVAL will be a mobile app that allows me to “take” Percy everywhere with me…
I would also like the ReTerminal to behave much like LED Eye of the Digit Companion but also act as a means for Percy to show me things or write..
Sounds like you’ve got a lot of research time ahead of you! I’m just going to echo Matt’s sentiments and wish you luck!
