Bosch is releasing a new IMU soon, the “BMI563”.
After contacting Bosch about a release date, they referred me to ask their distributers.
I’m hoping DigiKey can provide an answer.

I don’t have any inside information on actual release dates, but I did find the following EE Journal article from January 2026 which states that volume production is expected to be in Q3.
I would not take this as the final authority on the topic, however, as it’s not uncommon for release dates of new products to slip back due to a variety of circumstances. Marketing often gets ahead of engineering and manufacturing.

Thanks for the heads up. Perhaps before that time I could use the Bosch BMI423, which has the same footprint and pinout. According to their website this should already be available, but I also don’t see it on any distributer. Do you know when this may come available?
BMI423 is not one we currently carry but it is offered from Bosch https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/en/products/motion-sensors/imus/bmi423
We do carry the BMI323 however.
