Hello, I cannot understand how rootfs is created, where is the second partition of sd card? Why kernel is copied to rootfs? It must be sitting alongside with u-boot, mlo, dtb and e.t.c. in the first partition? is not it?
Nope, on the am57xx bootrom that is not required. In our case, we store MLO/u-boot.img are in a raw location in the first 4MB of the media. Which will happily load the linux kernel, dtb from a single partition…
