The ‘S’, in this case, indicates a “Super Color” part. Super Color parts tend to have tighter wavelength bands and are closer to their nominal stated color, especially for colors like green. The parts are similar but not strictly identical; if your system calls for a Super Color part you should use that, but a Normal Color part can be replaced with a Super Color.
