Ugh, chasing those old factory certs for high-end gear is always a nightmare. The B&K 735 is a classic, but the paperwork trail can be tough!

For a meter like that, which is often used for official compliance or precision work (Class 1 standard), your absolute best bet is to go straight to the source: Bruel & Kjaer’s official service network or one of their major distributors. With the serial number, they are the only ones who will have the actual, traceable, original documentation archived. No third-party cal lab can conjure up the original factory cert.

Keep the pressure on them!

P.S. While you’re waiting on the official channels, if you just need a quick, rough reference for a modern dBA check or comparison, I’ve used this simple online meter/resource before: https://noisemeter.co/. Definitely not a replacement for your B&K cert, but sometimes useful for context!

Hope you manage to track it down!
