DigiKey 1763-1085-2-ND (Knowles LS1812N102K302NTM) is indicated NRND, the PCN referenced on the DigiKey website states “these are now NRND and the timescale for phase out is not yet determined. When this is determined a PDN will be issued.”
Can DigiKey provide any more information about the timescale for phase out and potential Last Time Buy date?
I have e-mailed the manufacturer to see if they have an updated EOL / PCN document for 1763-1085-2-ND.

While we wait for a response regarding last time buy info, from what I gather looking at Knowles Syfer info regarding the newer series options, it does not look like they are making an X2-rated safety cap in a 1000pF C0G 1812 package.
They offer one in an 1808 package (which should fit on the same footprint):

I note the PCN also states “We will continue to support the existing part numbers for existing customers, but the intention is to

So that sounds as if Knowles will continue to make this whilst there is still demand, but maybe that is being too optimistic!

I try to be an optimist but experience has kind of beaten that down a bit. ; )
I guess that if you really want to stick with that part, I would pretty strongly consider looking at your lifetime supply needs and plan on getting them ordered in the fairly near future for peace-of-mind’s sake.
I do think that the 1808 package is probably a reasonable alternative, in that it should fit on the same pads without requiring a re-design. Now that doesn’t cover issues such as testing and re-qualifying a new part, which can be the toughest part.

Knowles have confirmed to me that when this part becomes LTB they will inform DigiKey via PCN. Can you just confirm that DigiKey would send this on to Sonardyne under your normal procedures?

We will notify you of “End Of Life(EOL)” status if you enable this option under your “My DigiKey” profile, as described here.
I have gotten a response from the manufacturer. they indicate that there is not an up-dated EOL / PCN document for this product at this time.
