We are often asked about switches that may come from Carling but have only been given technical specifications. While these specifications help us immensely, sometimes the “original switch” just can’t be found with just the technical specifications because Carling makes so many variations with similar specifications. Unfortunately, not all part markings are useful at all times.
Carling does offer some tools on their site to help identify switches, fortunately. The first tool is called Configurit: ConfigurIt Login. This tool is more helpful if you know the series being looked for or even know of a series that would work. You can go step by step selecting one “feature” at a time with this tool to narrow down to specific parts. However, if you only have specifications, Carling also offers a product finder that can narrow down things by specifications too: Product Selector | carlingtech.com. Sometimes, using multiple tools is necessary to find what you’re looking for. Also, feel free to reach out on the forum if you still need assistance.
