I’m building a strobe with COB LEDs in series. The XLG-240-MB seems to have all the required features for this project except for the DIM/PWM. The strobe frequency will be 15 Hz to 30 Hz, well below the specifications of the DIM/PWM input, which has a range of 100 Hz to 3 kHz. Can anyone tell me if it’s still worth trying 15 Hz PWM on this power supply, and what the results would be?
Thanks
Hi @fabrice.loyola ,
I think you can safely use it with 15Hz. The 100Hz low limit probably comes from flicker specs, i.e. lower than 100Hz is visible. Note however, that the output may be so slow (rise/fall time) that its use for strobo may not yield desired result.
Cheers, heke
That’s what I think too. I’ll probably try it anyway. Thanks for sharing your feedback!
