We would need to know the product you are asking about to know the manufacturer’s recommendations.
If humidity is a concern you may want to consider ways to control this. For certain MSL parts, we use vacuum sealing and desiccants to control humidity.
There are always risks when transferring files though I think this is very minimal. Where concerns exist you should have redundancies in place.
Again I am not aware of any general issues that affect all so it would be more of a specific part question.
