Although the mechanical drawing on the datasheet for EDATEC # ED-LENS-M12-230220-08 shows an IR Filter, the product doesn’t come with that filter. The mechanical drawing only indicates that it supports light filtering.

You are absolutely correct regarding the standard configuration. The mechanical drawing is intended to show the lens structure and the reserved position for an IR-cut filter, but the standard SKU ED-LENS-M12-230220-08 ships without it by default.
However, I would like to add that the IR filter is an optional configuration. If a customer specifically requires this lens with the IR filter pre-installed for their application, it is available as a customization option.
