EPSON Crystal Products GPS Suffix Meaning

When looking at crystal products’ part numbers from Epson, you may see them listed with an extra “GPS” suffix, such as FA-20HS 19.2000MF12Y-AG3. This may also show up as FA-20HS 19.2000MF12Y-AG3 GPS.

The GPS suffix is an internal packaging callout for the manufacturer. The part number with or without GPS suffix is the same part, the GPS will not affect the fit, form, or function of the product.

Hi related to this, how about the MC3 suffix? Example is SG-636PTF40.0000MC3. What does the MC3 suffix mean? Should this be attached on the name or does not matter?

According to the datasheet, the M is for the Mhz frequency. The C is for the frequency tolerance (C : ±100 × 10-6 / -20 °C ~ +70 °C). After the C, I see a 0 or a 3. The 0 = 1000 piece Reel, and the 3 = 250 piece reel. This part is Obsolete, and no longer manufactured.
